I really think you'll like it. The shape simply does not work for me, I am NOT a western kind of dude. But the hat is really nice. I've hedged on selling it a few times, but I am cleaning the closet right now and just picked up a hat better suited to my style.
If you're interested or have questions, please PM me! I prefer paypal but will work with you on payment. I would like to try to keep everything domestic, please.
The Desert Boots are pure '60s, Towncraft brand. They certainly do not make them like this anymore, solid crepe soles, stiffer...
It's most likely polyester and will overheat you. Keep it for Halloween or '70s parties but the only people who will most likely would want this are college kids for.....Halloween or '70s Parties. If you like it, keep it and wear it proudly. And grow a kickin' 'stasche to go with it. It's the...
I use this, and love it:

The Little Black book for Iphone 4. I also have their Kindle case. Made in the USA and very vintage.
I am irked indeed. Just as I received my size 46 1952 dated coat, it turned warm. We did have one helluva windstorm though, and that kersey is bulletproof. Thanks to Peacoat's thread I now own four, all in size 44 and above. Just another addiction to add to the list!
Color is actually pretty fluid, as the Soviets used all different shades of grey and Lend-Lease US brown as well. These are good overcoats, I have 2, and are getting harder to find, even in smaller sizes like this one.
I hate to let this one go. (And I'm open to trades, Campaign or Slouch hats or Akubra Campdrafts)
A Royal Stetson Playboy in a fawn color, size 7 1/8. Sold by Lazarus Department Stores of Columbus, Oh. I would bet this is a early '50s production with the plastic liner and no welting on the...
Hi all,
Spring is supposedly coming, and it's time to clear out a few things:
This is my Christy's Foldaway in "Burma". Bought this used, so no box. It's been worn but is in very good shape. I never wore it in the rain or really inclement weather. It just does not see much use anymore...
I don't have an answer to your question, but I am curious to know which kit you plan on using? When I do DBLE I use British KD with a '50s kepi with a white cover. I did this a few years back, before the reproduction of Mle 1935 leather equipment; I just used P37 kit for that.
I DO use a MAS...
As far as I know, no such thing existed. The pictures and uniform references have the RN Rating wear a long blue overcoat, or a duffle while on board ship. Canada may be different, I don't know.
GAP has a French work wear inspired jacket. Blue, with buttons up to the top, but ironed down to a more conventional lapel. Patch pockets, the whole deal. It will be a deal with they discount it to 50% or 70% but too pricey at $108.
