Sorry, didn't mean to misinform, maybe it is just some of the newer cowboy hats in Double X I thought were tagged wool too, I stand corrected if wrong. Mark, as far as I know these Resistol fedoras like your brown and my gray are mid-1950's from the post-Melorol brown sweatband. The brim width over 2" is typical of '50's, went down to 1 3/4 - 1 7/8 by 1960's. The B-R logo white satin liner was used 1930's - 1960's from what I have seen. The...- KC Capellor

I know that the earliest are the Melorol brown sweatbands but after that I see brown and black bands in fedoras and western hats. I am refering to the fact that some Open Road style Resistols - San Antonio, Dalworth, "25" "35" Beaver etc. came with the Resistol Byer-Rolnick logo on white satin type liner which was the same as in Resistol dress fedoras.
