Hello gents,
I have up for sale a pair of custom-built handmade boots.
They are brand new, and unworn save for the 20 or so minutes I wore them in my living room before ruefully deciding they were too small. I ordered them to my specs from overseas, and did my best with the sizing but came up...
At the risk of losing a find, the one I'm seeing is on eBay. LVC Highway man 44 Horsehide. I don't see any Horsehide tag, but it's not expensive and looks like a HWM?
I have seen Levi-branded leather jackets for sale that basically look just like an Aero HWM, except they have a Levi tag inside. Did Aero make these? I can't find any clear direction on the interwebs.
I have seen some for sale that actually say Aero on them as well as the Levi brand, but...
Not sure why this is negative? I wouldn't mind knowing this fact actually, given how all over the map these Aero sizes are. Is it not true that the Euro ones fit right, so you might say "marked 44, fits like a 40"?
At the end of the day the measurements are what matter.
Oh, it's a quest. I am looking every day on here and eBay. Hoping used right now for cost reasons.
I'd never heard of the Aero court case before seeing it here. Brutal story. Makes me respect the marque even more.
I hope I can get a nice jacket before summer hits. It would be nice to...
Ha ha. Well, I mentioned the pizza to explain my gut puffing out.
Everyone here has convinced me to not alter a jacket - I am now targeting a Sheene or Bootlegger in my size.
Call me a snob but it matters to me that it says Aero on it. Also, all the glorious interweb pics of amazing marbled...
This has all convinced me to abandon the idea. I will just have to watch for jackets that might work.
I never thought an athletic build would be too rare either but most things off the rack don't fit. I'm not a giant, just worked the upper body, so everything up there is too tight usually...
The truth is I don't have a jacket that really fits me well. From my asking around here, if I were to get a Sheene for instance, it would be a 46 with 26" sleeves, 20-21" shoulders, 24-24.5 P2P. I'm open to considering anything but do admire the Aeros.
Thanks for the feedback. Maybe though I was unclear - I'm wondering if the sleeves themselves are skinnier? Not necessarily the cut of the body. I thought they used to be roomier in the arms is all.
I was wondering if Levi had changed the pattern of their jean jackets over the years.
The trend for years now has been skinny jeans, and I wonder if they made the sleeves thin too - I tried one on at the store and found it pretty tight on the sleeves.
Anyone know if that's the case, and I'd...
