That is a cool lid, I was watching it and hoping a Lounger would get it. Actually, my very first Homburg is very similar to this one, a grey Royal DeLuxe with the little wind string. Mine wasn't a St. Regis, though, I guess that's a cut above a regular Royal DeLuxe. :)

The browns and tans seem to work for me, too. I tend to favor the "earth tones" in my day-to-day clothes, and I have a wonderful brown pinstripe suit from Indy Magnoli.
I love the 302. Pre-WWII, heavy as heck. The one on my desk is from 1938, and it works great. My cordless phone from 1999 is about ready for the scrapheap.
That might work. I think a lot of people buy SUVs for the roominess, particularly the headroom. Higher rooflines on passenger cars might turn the trend around.
I have to admit I've been intrigued by the little Scion xB, it has loads of head (and hat!) room for a small car.

It wouldn't even have to be in Illinois, really. Think about it: Chicago dogs, employees dressed in pinstripes and fedoras carrying violin cases, a network of "El" trains instead of a monorail... ;)
