    "The Grizzly"

That King-o-Fur is nuts! I prefer mouton, but the shaggy ones are killer as well.

    "The Grizzly"

Thanks, Che! I usually wear my grizzly with a dress shirt and tie, just like the Sears catalog illustrations! I wish all the expressed disdain for grizzly jackets translated into cheaper prices on the vintage market.......

    1935 Holy Grail Suit

OK, I'm resurrecting this thread to grumble about another 'holy grail' suit (for me at least) that I lost out on. Woe is me. Once again, another suit in a versatile shade with the little details I really dig; pleated rear half-belt, peaked lapels, wide trouser cuffs and etc. the jacket...

Nice and possibly unique '40s peak lapel casual gabardine sport jacket

Killer clip!!!! The sleeves feel a bit longer than 22 inches, but I'll have to double check when I get home. It looks like he had the sleeves tailored shorter on his collection. The tricky thing with the jacket I won is that it sleeves are cuffed, so their is no excess fabric to let out...

Nice and possibly unique '40s peak lapel casual gabardine sport jacket

I won a corduroy hollywood from this seller during his first round of postings and it was shipped timely. I think he may be in a rush to move his collection as quickly as possible and is prioritizing listing items over responding to buyers. In fact, you can actually track the progression of...

    Rugby Ralph Lauren to close-

Rugby and RRL are different sub-lines. I doubt RRL is going anywhere.

Beautiful 1940's Deadstock Rayon Shirt w. Pointed Collar

There is a thread floating around the gen. attire room. Some of the companies mentioned were, Cad Zoots, Ol Woogies, Swanky's, Geronimo of UK (now defunct), DL Cerney (online only) and a few others. Rocket Originals is now making gab shirts also. I have yet to see a perfect reproduction due...

BOARDWALK EMPIRE (HBO) - Everything you wanted to bootleg about the Show!

Although I miss Jimmy, I am satisfied with the direction this season is going. It's not perfect, but I am not troubled by a lot of things folks in this thread have identified. It's a 2010s series telling a 2010s story using characters and figures from the 1920s. One of the difficulties with...

Help me place a date to this photo

Based on the shirt styles, and the buzzcut on the older gentleman, I would guess late '50s, if not '60s.
