It's too short for me, but I'm wondering: does anybody make reproduction rayon shirts like this?

No really perfect ones that I've seen, but maybe the American FLoungers (particularly West Coast) have better access. The fabric was always the stumbling block for repros.

There is a thread floating around the gen. attire room. Some of the companies mentioned were, Cad Zoots, Ol Woogies, Swanky's, Geronimo of UK (now defunct), DL Cerney (online only) and a few others. Rocket Originals is now making gab shirts also. I have yet to see a perfect reproduction due to the unavailability of the same type of rayon gabardine used back in the day.

Thanks. Old Woogies has some nice shirts, but no rayon and very limited supply in my size.

Any type of rayon, but particularly gab is pretty much impossible to find. hbk put me on to the correct(ish) type of rayon (viscose) liner used in vintage British and some American jackets, and it's as close as I've seen to correct.

In all my fabric hunting, I've never come across anything quite like the vintage rayon shirts we know and love.

the Japanese company 'Dry Bones' did some repro gab jackets and shirts that were as good as in my opinion. very accurate.

btw, the shirt at the start of this thread isn't gabardine. gabardine is a twill weave which has a diagonal rib to it. that shirt looks like a 'linen effect' weave.
