I've never dealt with Peter's, but from what I can gather people typically don't like them.
It looks like you got a good shot with the custom hat, but I've heard that their cheaper ones are not very good at all.
Of course, maybe I'm thinking of MILLER's Brothers. Probably ;)

Looks like the Pun Police are on the move.
The seller claims that they are "1920's vintage", but I would bet probably later than that. Anytime in the 30's would sound more appropriate.
Well, since you asked;
I definitely think that this hat is liner-less (obvious statement-but seriously). Partially the reason I can tell is from the look and design of the sweatband.
No liner originally.
If I had to date this hate I would say the late 40's. The wide brim, fat ribbon...
Oh my.
That is an awesome hat. It has all the characteristics I would look for in a hat - BUT somehow it looks different from all the rest. I can't put my finger on it.
Love the color-

Trust me - with Stetson, the term "latest and greatest" has no meaning. lol The new Stetsons are often very, very cheap. Essentially, the older the better.
Judging by your photographs, I'd say you have an older, better quality hat.
Overall it looks like you made a very nice buy. I'd say...
I appreciate your sympathy, DeanGlen. But please, just don't mind me; my Open-Road-lessness is my own doing. I sort of blew all my money on other vintage stuff. :(
Is there any hope for me? Or am I truly beyond help in this matter?
