We're not quiet living in the "prison" you describe. NYC is a lot less dangerous than the media would have you believe.
Considering the number of people riding NYC subways and living in such close proximity, I'd say we're doing pretty good as a functioning city.

It still feels a bit too cool in the city to bring out the straw. It's currently 51 and sunny. It may take another couple of weeks before I wear straw.
I see no difference in dressing in funny hats and spats versus skinny jeans and day-glo shirts. Either we're all dressing funny and screaming for attention or not. One cannot pick and choose.

I've never enjoyed Tom's action roles but find him very impressive playing less than *heroic (or downright dislikable) characters. A few roles I've enjoyed from Cruise in no particular order are-
Magnolia, Tropic Thunder, Interview with the Vampire, Vanilla Sky, Rain Man...
Unfortunately JayZ was tapped to produce the soundtrack and has to stick his awfully mediocre wife in the mix.
The Wall Street Journal gave the film a bad review. Apparently the hip hop elements in the soundtrack are the least of the films failings.

It sounds like a great show. Willie was in NYC late last year at Barnes and Noble for the release of his book Roll Me Up and Smoke Me When I Die- Musings from the Road . Unfortunately I heard about it the next day! :eusa_doh:
