How do they differ from other replicas?

For one its a custom sculpture . Its very accurate to the original in the movie .
Yes to the average Maltese collector they will buy the Haunted Mansion version you see all over Ebay thats no accurate at all but most collectors don't care its a black bird and its ok for them which is fine . I just am A hug fanatic about the bird and looking for the nicest out there . The MK in my opinion is the best I have seen to date .
I do think a talented artist could make an even more accurate version but never seen that happen so far.

No but he has one he himself sculpted its not accurate at all .

Sure he has a MK in his collection.

They come wrapped in Chinese newspaper, held by a dead guy. Now that's authentic.

How can one tell an MK from others? My wife has a Maltese Falcon that looks very close to the one that is in the stills from the movie, and she has had this for almost 25 years.
