Personally, nothing bothers me more than when someone makes a vintage-styled movie and supplies the actors with tapered, pre-shaped Dorfman Pacifics.

Wide brims are all that seem to work for me. The widest I have at the time being is 3 inches (not much, but enough).
Typically I find that anything under 2 1/2 inches makes me look like a jackass.

My only concern is the orange. Where did this come from? IMO the orange-on-black is a little too Haloween-esque for me.
If the orange were moreso of a yellow or gold shade, then the tie would be perfect.

Although, I would have to vote for the small, single logo, offset at the bottom (although centered or otherwise would be fine). The repeating pattern would be a bit much in my eyes.
It's not necessarily 'period accurate', but I think it cuts the bill as a vintage-style haircut.
