figure this out until I saw Smokey's photo of the tip of the belt. Thank was the

It's the tip of the belt that I seem to be missing. I did not know that! So until
I have a "hooked tip" on the end of the belt, i'ts not going to hook into the buckle.

I have an authentic Heer belt buckle and I have a non-authentic leather belt. What I can't figure out is how they got the buckle onto a belt. Were the buckles permanently fastened to a belt or were they separate items that could be attached to any new belt?

Today I was actually able to put on my Stetson 'Gordon' straw and wear it all day. That means that is finally getting cooler here in the Valley of the Sun - around 100F! Soon I'll be back in my felts - by, say, November!!
