How do you cope when unemployed?

Sometimes change is good. Paying the rent is nice, but sometimes it's so nice you stay put when your heart's not in it. You seem to be in the right headspace. You're talented and you'll find work. For now you can do what you want to do, and do a little networking. Good luck.

Star of Le Charme discret de la bourgeoisie passes

I loved that film. Cassel also pops up in a number of other great (and not so much) though underseen films, like Army of Shadows by Jean-Pierre Mellville, currently enjoying a limited rerelease. Army of Shadows Thanks Dr. Death! ;)

Golden Age Actor dies and No-One at FL Notices!

But I didn't notice! They guy died in February and it slipped right past me. He was in one of my favourite serials - Daredevils of the Red Circle - and he was in Mildred Pierce, which was the subject of another thread and which led me to look up Mr. Bennet... An olympian to boot!

Why do I hate the 1970s so much?

Also embracing the 30s and somewhat beyond was Tom Waits, who has made good music from the first record right up to his latest.

Why do I hate the 1970s so much?

Not a high point in Western culture. A mass record burning led by sport-fanatic Kerrang subscribers. Disco or Dio... not a real good choice. The decade did have an attractive underbelly though.

Why do I hate the 1970s so much?

70s = The BEST period of American film ever, period, bar none. Only the teens come close to being as varied and innovative. 1977 = punk Schoolhouse Rock: smart show. Sesame Street, Electric Company. Koogle. (What was that stuff made of anyway?) The hair was awful, the clothes were...

As A Kid, What Were You Like?

I liked my record player. I drew a lot of pictures. Mostly of the wolfman or the Planet of the Apes. I watched Magic Shadows every night with my pop, and we watched the creature feature on most Sundays before Disney.
