No homework required
There isn't any particular continuity to the films. They go back and forth in time and there isn't any real development of the character(s) from film to film - unless turning everyone into an idiot in Last Crusade qualifies as development.

Kind of boring, the pirate cove thing and the laserbeam skulls were just embarassing, but it looked good up to that point. Especially Catherine Zeta Jones as the mildly evil Valkyrie kind of character. Hummana hummana.
Stop everything. Don't write another word about film noir until you've seen Lady from Shanghai. The phrase "a little target practice" will never sound the same again. (But then how often does a fella get to use the phrase "a little target practice"?)

Villains? There were villains in Sky Captain? Wasn't the whole thing just a shaggy dog story with an out-take of Laurence Olivier "acting" at the end as the "villain"?
I didn't realize that Princess Bride or Memento did poorly at the box office. I thought one was a huge and the other a modest hit. Memento didn't have to do well to be successful since it cost relatively little to make. I don't think Wizard of Oz was really a failure either.

I was told by a friend who's dad was a cab driver and had "the knowledge" that the hackney cab was designed as a vehicle for all classes and situations, high enough for a gentleman to wear a top hat while seated and with a large enough boot (that's a trunk, my American friends) to fit a bale of hay.
