    What are you wearing today??

Please marry me. Oh, I forgot, I'm already married. Sorry. But if I weren't, I mean.

Lucky Strike, I am agog with envy. Portugal has been on my short list for years now, especially lately.

    Your Favorite Film Costumes

No, no -- what you gorgeous, elegant gals really need is a tall handsome man in a fedora. Like me. I'm 6'2". But hélas, I'm married.

    Your Favorite Film Costumes

It's in the (awesome retro-future) film GATTACCA, so it must be true.

    What are you wearing today??

Yes, Justin/Anon` is in fact a very handsome fellow. My wife and I see him every time we go to Portland. My wife thought he was handsome as well, as did our friend Jennifer who met him once at the Secret Society bar. But losing the beard will make him look even more swell.

    What are you wearing today??

YOU HAVE NO CHOICE. OFF WITH THE BEARD. OFF WITH THE BEARD. OFF WITH THE BEARD. And on with the pencil-moustache.

What is a good alternative for a tie? Help required.

I'm a tie wearer and I like this idea. Every once in a while. But it's like going unshaven or using the word "plethora": you shouldn't do it too often or it destroys the magic of doing it the few times that you do it. (Going several-days-unshaven to a social event: I do this once per year...

What is a good alternative for a tie? Help required.

True. My father (born in 1921) has changed his entire outfit several times per day the entire time I have known him (beginning in 1970).

    What are you wearing today??

Brilliant, Justin, especially the watch and cufflinks. Is the tie from Old Glory Antique Mall? And is the suit the one you wore at the Antique Festival in Portland in July when I was there?

    Your Signature Dish

I have never had a better Caesar Salad than the one I make. Nor a better Fettucine Alfredo. I don't even order them in restaurants anymore because I know they will be inferior to mine. If I am in an expensive restaurant, I'll look at them if other diners have ordered them. Other things I...

A sin. A crime. You must divest yourself of this item in order to redeem yourself of this sin. I can give you an address in California whither you may sent it for divestment and redemption ...

If you'd consider photographing your system and posting it, that could be very useful for us.

What is a good alternative for a tie? Help required.

No tie, a rougher dress shirt and suspenders, over trousers and heavier-soled dress shoes. Fedora or WIDE tweed cap optional. You still will look good without a tie. No jacket unless it's cold out: in that occasion, a rougher wool jacket. I also wear tie without jacket frequently on hot days.

    Handkerchiefs and Pocket Squares

Stuffed in an armoire drawer, but stuffed LOOSELY, so they (at least the silk ones, which is most of them) don't really crease much. "Stuffed" is probably the wrong word as that implies something not loosely, but I do not know what other word to use. This is somewhat unclassy, but the linen...

Superb thread, ladies, and it showcases the excellent taste you all have! I'm sending the link to this thread to my wife and some female friends. In my eyes, these photos embody what The Feminine is all about and they show (visually) why it's so worthwhile and beautiful. (And how...

Vintage 1940s dark blue DB score on Ebay

The suit arrived. Looks superb, lovely condition. The jacket fits beautifully except the sleeves need to be an other inch long. There is sufficient fabric. The trousers (both of them) are both slightly short as well as slightly small in the waist, as I suspected. I have enough skill to do the...

Vintage 1940s dark blue DB score on Ebay

The suit arrived. Looks superb, lovely condition. More black than dark blue, which is what I wanted anyway, since I have a superb blue 1940s DB suit already. The jacket fits beautifully except the sleeves need to be an other inch long. There is sufficient fabric. The trousers (both of them) are...
