I really wanted to pair red shoes with these, but...
Out of all the things I've purchased on eBay or in the stores, nothing was over $40, and it's unlikely that I would ever spend more than that on any clothing item. Books, on the other hand...
And yes, I'm a bit frugal.
Not every day; I'm still trying to decide just how vintage I want to dress on a regular basis. After purchasing a few vintage dresses from eBay, I've found I'm most comfortable in pencil skirts and sweaters/blouse combinations. I think I'll save the dresses for a special occasion! As for...
I agree! I tend to smile when passing people in the halls or on the street - it's not as if I wander around with a maniacal grin about my face! I do believe the only people who are capable of smiling 24/7 are those with plastic surgery gone awry! ;)
Hubby and I saw this over the weekend. I'll admit that I was a bit antsy and wasn't really sure I was in the mood to watch a movie, but I figured I'm interested in the subject, I'm always up for seeing great costumes, and c'mon, it's George Clooney...
While the film itself was aesthetically...
So glad you joined us, Eleanor Marie! Perhaps once your hubby sees you all decked out in your retro-wear and in your convertible and see how fabulous you look he'll change his mind!! :)

I just recently found the perfect shade of red lipstick! Like you, most look very bright and overpowering on me. I took a chance though and tried the Bare Minerals lipstick in Cupid (in my avatar); it goes on like a dream, and last a good amount of time. I apply it with a brush to avoid applying...
I was just searching the boards for topics on eyeglasses - how I missed this one the first time around is beyond me!
Miss Dottie & Miss Bella Hell, you are both so cute in your specs!
I just love vintage frames! :)
You are Charles VI of France, also known as Charles the Mad or Charles the Well-Beloved!
A fine, amiable and dreamy young man, skilled in horsemanship and archery, you were also from a long line of dribbling madmen. King at 12 and quickly married to your sweetheart, Bavarian Princess...
I can't say I love them...they're alright. One of the girls has the most beautiful voice I've heard in a long time. I'm guessing it's the brunette gal, from some other things I've heard from her. I don't particularly care for their rendition of "Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy" as it just sounds jumbled...
Here is a website that you can look through some images of classic actors...maybe that will give you both some ideas?

I agree - I think Dita looks stunning with dark hair!
Speaking of curling irons, several years ago I received one for my birthday but it's not your typical curling iron - it's one of those heated air brushes that looks like a curling iron, and let me tell you this thing creates curls that...
