:eusa_clap Looks really nice! Not overtly western but has that flair. I know my Heritage felt gets nicer each time it's wet or steamed, even.
On a side note, we've been getting rain the past two days ourselves... It's VERY welcome.

Thanks, Lefty. I'm glad to hear that they're a little snug in the toe box, I hate loose boots [but not overly tight ones, either]. So, it's possible that even an H width could work if I wear thicker socks. hmmm
I was looking over the BootsOnline site just a few minutes ago, thanks to the...
Sunbody or a Stetson or Resistol straw. They have some decent looking Resistols in the $20 range. This one in particular is a nice looking, inexpensive hat. I keep aiming to order one, but don't.

Instead of starting a new thread, I thought I'd post my questions here.
I have a few questions for the RM owners here, firstly how do they typically fit? Wide, narrow? I know they for the most part come in G and H widths... I'm typically a size 10D US, that'd mean a 9G would be my ideal size...
I've heard that she went to Australia [and wore a Cattleman] or is going there... or something.[I don't watch television.] Quite frankly, I hope Oprah doesn't make it an "in" thing to wear hats... I prefer being that "weird guy in a hat" as I once heard a passer-by describe me. But, I'm sure...
A Barmah Kind of Day
Even though it's technically fall... in Florida, a sun hat's still a good thing to wear when outdoors.
I only had to make a post office run today, so my Federation was plopped on for 15-20 minutes. Otherwise it's my Barmah Drover "Allover"

Oh man, Had I known that, I'd have brought one of them Saturday. :eusa_doh: For some reason, I thought you had snagged one from eBay, so I didn't think to bring it along.
Thanks, I like my Federations.
I've since sold this to a friend, but here's my Lee Keppler/Adventure Supply Indy hat.
It started life as a Crystal Skull hat, but I tweaked it into a Raiders-esque look.

I was looking for a photo of Lewis in a hat but came up dry. [I'm by no means a fan of his work, especially the Narnia books, but enjoyed The Great Divorce when I read it a few years back.]
Cross posted this in the Federation thread, but wanted to add it here for those who don't visit that one.

looking good, Scotty!
All the resurrection of this thread made me pull my Federations out for a quick snap.

One thing to keep in mind about the Campdraft is that it's on the large size, so it may be intimidating to those just getting into hats. I personally found it a hat I had to "work my way into". But, if you're comfortable with a wide brimmed hat, it'd be a great starter... easy to shape and looks...
In my book, a hat is what YOU want it to be. I have an OR clone Resistol that I wear with jeans and a buttondown shirt, and I have a Campdraft that I wear with the same sort of things. If you want to wear an Open Road style casual, go for it... if you want to reserve it for dressier occasions...
