    Dinerman: New Bartender

I'm not a teacher but that was my first thought also (I guess being a father is also a buzzkill ;) ). Good luck, I'm sure you'll do a fantastic job!

Ingredients and recipe for HOT BUTTERED RUM?

We just had some at a party last week, it was great! We couldn't get enough, and are planning on making it on Christmas day. What our friend made was a Crock Pot version, it's really easy: Crockpot Hot Buttered Rum Ingredients: Brown Sugar 2 cups firmly packed 1/2 Cup Butter 1 Tsp Salt...

    Snow in Houston

It was all gone before I went to bed last night, it never sticks. A local meteorologist found a connection that the only time we have a snow fall is the same year that a hurricane (or tropical storm) has landfall in the area. Interesting.

    The Vintage Camera Club Thread

Camera: $10...that's the understatement of the year! Why can't I get that lucky?

    I Need Knife Help!

As much as I appreciate the design and functionality of those new knives, I'd rather have an old Kamp King in my pocket. It just feels right.

    Where is Baggers..?

I'm bringing this thread back up because he seems to be missing again! He was just about to send me the traveling hat, we updated addresses on September 9, then poof...he's gone. Hasn't posted any since then and hasn't answered any pms. I don't care about the hat but I'm little worried about...

And we owe it all to the Fedora Lounge!

That looks like a perfectly amazing wedding! I know everyone is ooing and ahhing over your dress (which is fabulous by the way), but personally I would kill for that suit! May you have many happy years!

    Vintage Talon Zipper

Well I did have the zipper replaced, but they kind of mucked it up at first and then "kind of" fixed it. See what happened is the zipper was longer than I needed and I explained that to them and they seemed to understand. But when I went to pick up the jacket they had installed the zipper all...

    Mystery hat (to me, anyway)

Doesn't the cloth sweat mean it's pretty modern?

    Show off the sports coats.

Marc doesn't live here anymore, at least by that name. He might answer a pm.

    Name That Button!

Thanks everyone! I'll check these sources. :)

    Name That Button!

The pattern is hard to describe, and I think that is one of the reasons it's been so hard to search for them. It kind of reminds me of how string is woven in the center of a Dream Catcher (you know, those "Native American" things they sell at all the gift shops in Arizona), but I don't really...

    Name That Button!

Well I've just about given up so it's time to ask the knowledgeable and friendly folks here at the lounge. I'm trying to find more of these buttons, or at least figure out what they are called. I have two jackets from the late 30's that use buttons like these and a couple are missing. I've...

Dimestore Dreams? I think I'm in love!

What Hat Are You Wearing Today 1?

That is a great hat, a very 50's western look. I've been tempted to get one myself.

    Revolutionary Road

My wife is reading the book now, and the movie looks good so far. Just by coincidence they will probably get a little momentum from the popularity of Madmen.
