    The Conversion Corral

Really nice work, Bond. This goes to show that not all homberg conversions look the same.

What Hat Are You Wearing Today 1?

I'm going to be in the City the next few days, and had already planned on taking in the G Winogrand show. There's a bit of street photographer in many of us, ha. You've made me even more intrigued. But I'll miss the SFMoma while closed.

Thinking of custom hat - need opinions

I think a brim of at least 2 3/4 in - 3 inches, and a crown of at least 5 - 5 1/2 inches might work. When you contact a custom maker, be sure to consider the shape of your face. Is it more elongated from top to bottom, or wide from side to side? The same consideration affects the collar...

    Akubra Overload

Hatsdirect has a limited number of Stylemasters in bluegrass. It's not on their website so you have to email them. I just picked up the 59, which ran a bit big compared to my Fed IV, Campdraft and Sydney.

    Vintage Stetson 7 3/8 (7x Clear Beaver)

I second the motion. This one has a nice color, and is a bit more western/Ozzie than much of what we see.

Vintage Open Road Style Fedora 7 1/4 LO

For a moment, I thought you were connecting with "the Banksy." That would have been a hoot.

What Hat Are You Wearing Today 1?

How is Port Costa these days, Che? I used to bicycle there from Berkeley when I was a gearhead. The old hotel on the main street was run by a woman who was a real character, and rather picaresque. What's become of it? And great pix. Best D

WTT- Stetson 25 rebuilt by Optimo to the specs of their "MITCHUM" from '07 Size 7 3/8

Graham really did a gorgeous job on this hat, Rick, as appreciated by many of us FL'ers. I was told by Optimo that they are discouraging production of the Mitchum because it has (again, this was said to me) too much of a stove pipe look. As an alternative they recommended the Dearborn. So...

    Worth & Worth

Yes, I think most of these are made by Guerra. The felts appear to be in different weights. The crowns are not tall, and the styles do look a bit like many by Optimo as pointed out by Jared. Anyone got some?

    Falcon Park Hattery

Thanks for the tip. That's a fantastic hat, Dogman! I see that your brim is 2 5/ 8 whereas mine (at the moment, at least) is 2 1/2. Any thoughts on this?
