IMHO Caps are much better than hats in the wind.
Although round these parts (central NY) I usually switch to winter knit caps (watch caps or ski caps) in the winter when it gets cold and windy. I have no hair and I hate the look of earmuffs.
I recently received a catalog from B.A. Mason and I have been wondering about the "Work America" line as well.
Carter: Can you please tell us where your boots were made, and how true to size they are?
The leather is thin, the leather soles are thin, and they scrape up easily.
That being said, I'd buy another pair on a discount just because they're great looking.
I'd also warn that if your foot is wide AT ALL, you will need wide size. The pair I had ran very narrow. My foot is between D...
I have been wondering the same thing.
My dome is exactly 22"
Most 7 1/8 hats fit me, but I think I'm wearing them a bit too low and I'm wondering if I should be looking for size 7?
70s movies:
Drive-In
All Summer in a Day
The Van
Cheesy 80's Movies:
Hiding Out
Seven Minutes in Heaven
Band of the Hand
The Legend of Billie Jean
Up the Creek
Basically I collect movies that remind me of a certain moment in time, not neccessarily depending on how good the...
can anyone comment on the Florshiem longwing sizing?
i have never owned a pair of Florshiems, and when I stopped at a local DSW I tried on every pair of Florsheims they had...and it seemed that there is a wide variety of lasts they use...for instance, their modern wingtips felt perfect, but I...
You fellas seen these yet?
NO, they're not in the same league as those posted above, but they're
$125 Retail
Too bad they don't make these in wide. The madison in D is too narrow for me.

I love the elegant LOOK,
but in this clime with winter approaching rapidly I need something sturdier.
If Florsheim made a longwing in a high top with a lug sole I'd be happy man.
ukali,
Thank you very much for all of the information and the generous offer.
I did send an email to the shop where you got your set, but they haven't replied.
I will bookmark the second website and keep your offer in my back pocket in case I choose to go that way in the future.
This...
I would say that most are already sized to fit over a suit. At least that's the way trenchcoats, overcoats and topcoats USED to be sized.
I can't say for sure as to the "true" military versions, but usually with the civillian coats you would just choose your regular suit size...of course as...
holy MOLY that's a good price.
I wish you didn't show me that!
I just sent an email.
If that seller had those shoes here in the states, I'd own one of each color..oh yes I would...:eusa_doh: (i'm sure IF they agree to ship, it won't be cheap)
Those are exactly what I have been looking for here in the states. (although I think I'd go with the commando sole this time of year)
I have found a couple pairs but they're quite expensive here.
I have no idea why the brogue shoes are(were) so popular here but the high-tops are hard to...
a person I know very well works in a local Elementary school.
she wears modern business attire (nothing formal...skirts with blazers or slacks, etc...) and often people she hasn't met mistake her for the school principal...unfortunately this is sometimes in front of the principal who doesn't...
