I it true that there are plans of a Hardy Men film, with Ben Stiller and Tom Cruise as the grown up, bitter versions of the Hardy Boys? I`m not sure if it is a great or an awful idea!
Ah, Nancy Drew..... She inspired me when I, at the age of 9, started my own private detective agency. I...
Thank you, Polka Dot, I must absolutely check out Vidocq. I looked him up just now, and wow! What a character! Among other things, I learned that he was even suspected of arranging some of the cases he solved in his work!
I read that the great, fictional detective Maigret is probably...
Well, the caracters seems to be much more interested in killing other killers than actually solving anything....;)
I should also have specified " oldest modern crime fiction". That aside, the story about Cain and Abel might be fitting, as God himself investigates the murder. But I feel that...
I`m sure I`m not the lover of crime fiction books here, so I though somebody would like to solve a little mystery with me. I am trying to find out what book can be called the first ever crime fiction literature? Of course, it is not easy to agree upon this, partly because there are so many...
(I don`t know where to post this thread, so if any moderators think it fits better in other sub forum, please move it.)
I have landed my first real project as an interior architect, (Huzza!), I`m in charge of the redecoration of a hairdresser salon. The owners want something vintage inspired...
It`s a big difference between a nice "Excuse me, miss, I just have to compliment your dress" and a nasty "Nice top, missy" said while trying to look down my cleavage. We can tell the difference.
I was once dressed as a 30s inspired cabaret artist for a play, complete with fishnet stockings...
"Travels with Charlie" by John Steinbeck. Not his best, which means that it is "only" wonderful. Oh, and "How to win friends and influence people" form 193somthing, just for fun. This must be one of the first self-help books ever?
I have to try Ponds Cold Cream now, and I have to get it from ebay since it`s not avaliable in Norwegian stores. Is there any difference between "Ponds Cold Cream Cool Classic" and "Ponds Cold Cream Deep Cleanser"? What about the cucumber one? I am confused and wondering what to buy.....
Hello to you all. I have been hanging around with the girls in the powder room for a while, but i thought I should introduce myself here as well.
I am 26 years old and live in Bergen, Norway, where I am studying interior architecture at master level.
I love the look and the quality of...
Right now I live at the ugliest place in Bergen: Danmarksplass, where all cars in Bergen pass through two times a day.
Trondheim is a nice city! Just remember to enjoy the moment of summer when it comes, if you blink, it`s gone!;)
My granny used perfumed talc instead of deodorant. I understand this was pretty common back in the days. On a LARP i wanted to go full vintage, but could not find the real product, so I used baby powder. That worked too.
I don`t think talc stains clothes. Maybe worth a try?
To say that I know that problem is an understatement. To bad that I like to dress in black, it would have been much easier if I only dressed in flesh-colors! The powder does not only get on my face and my top, my sink, (in front of the mirror) also gets it fair share. Well, its`s worth it...
Non-vintage stockings with colored seams are easy to find in ebay shops. I have seen black with red, white with red, red with black, black with pink.....Even more unusual, I have also found new colored stockings with black seams! (Green, aqua, orange....) I won`t post the links, though, as all...
