Met the Ultimate Car Guy Today!!

Yep, quite true. My problem right now is that I don't have a garage, or even a driveway. My cars are parked on the street, albeit in a nice neighborhood. I have to get a place with a garage first, before I can get back into classic cars. :(

    Casablanca

Sydney Greenstreet is one of my sartorial role models. I can't decide between his suit in "Casablanca" or the one in "Across the Pacific. The later was a peak-lapel DB in what looked like linen.

    My Akubra Fedora Arives

Here's one: The Open Road was introduced, if my memory serves, in 1947, and Presidents Lyndon Johnson, Dwight Eisenhower and Harry Truman wore them.

Met the Ultimate Car Guy Today!!

If I can get my lazy keister up early enough (I work nights) I'm going to Woodley Park today. maybe Jay will be there again. Were there a lot of 30s-50s Mopars there as well? I haven't been to a Spring Fling in a few years, which is sad because I live only a few miles away.

do you keep a second hat at work?

I have a cheap straw sun hat in my car. I wear it on the way to work in the summer afternoons to avoid getting my good hats sweaty, and then change before I get out of the car.
