also, we have the same suitcases! i have a whole set. my grandma took them with her when she visited Italy in the early 60s - there are a few stickers on them :)
isn't he great?! usually he darts around or looks the other way, but he let me hold him there for a good 10 seconds that time.
amy_jeanne, in the pic of you with the super-sleek bob sitting in a bar, you look exactly what i pictured the character of "Carla" to look like when i first read...
yes, humidifiers are fantastic!!! i don't actually have a real humidifier, so i've been running my crockpot full of water (and some eucalyptus EO) for the past few days since i've been in bed sick. i feel like my throat is much less dry and sore when i wake up than it has been in past...
in honor of getting things back on track...
my (roommate's) cat Octavian and i:
i may have posted this one before... can't remember!
back when i was young and adorable (age 20, circa 2000):
i've been able to get up to every-other-day, but waiting longer than that just doesn't work for me. and day 2 never looks or feels as good as day one!
sorry, this is getting a little :offtopic:
it looks nice :) as someone with straight, thin hair, i have to say the dirty-hair trick does nothing for me. it just gets limp and greasy no matter what i do to it [huh]
ugh
i'm about to pop in a dvd of the LAST TWO EPISODES of Carnivale. i tried to be mature about it - i know when i started there would only be two seasons. still, my reaction is,
 AAAAAAARGH NOOOOOO DON'T BE OVERRRRR!!!
i ride my bike and take the bus/train exclusively. 95% of the time this works out great, and when it doesn't, i suck it up and get over it. it's great to get my daily exercise during my commute (about 8-9 miles r/t), and when i'm on the bus i can read or knit.
i'm not a moron and neither are...
yep, they do... unless they've had some vintage-lovin' coworker chew them out for it. they'll save alllll 8 million 80s patterns, and toss the one 40s one.:rage:
dakotanorth, those repro zippers are really neat!
like many others here, my first car was a bug! it was a white 1968. i loved that car, but neither my father nor i are handy with cars so it got expensive taking it to the shop every time something broke.
i have to agree with RondoHatton, time has definitely erased any faults my beetle had -...
i'm looking forward to:
- finding out 100% sure if i got into my grad teaching program (final step is march 13, i've made it this far!)
- to not be sick anymore and have my voice back
- taking it easy next quarter - only taking 2 classes
- starting my garden for the year
- SPRING!
