It's better not to get into the rain in this jacket.
I have the exact same jacket, caught many times in the rain (s0metimes heavy) without any single issue. I remember a member here (or was it the VLJ?) that had a Bronson MA-1 bought not from their official website but through a AE vendor that indeed had issues.

Yuletide Greetings to All,

Being that it was just barely above twenty with gale force winds, I opted for my late grandfather's 1940's Harris Tweed coat that I had relined about twenty years ago. I made sure to tell the tailor to transfer over the makers label. One way one can tell how old the coat is the additional pocket watch pocket above the coat pocket on the right. This coat with a Coke hat (AKA Bowler) from Lock & Co., silk scarf, three piece suit, antique pocket and watch chain & fob and one is respectably attired for church.
