:offtopic: speaking of bad electrical... i have a vintage fan with the old bakelite plug. the back is missing and someone along the line replaced it with CARDBOARD. this seems like a Really Bad Idea to me. needless to say, the fan is just for decoration!
dpd, you really have been having great luck! nice finds lately!
shortclara, that bow is a pin, right? i think you should also incorporate it into a hairdo, a la the "ladies with hair ornaments" thread :D
this week i bought an adorable button-front blouse with puffed sleeves at old navy...
i have one from the 50s or 60s that looks like something out of an old sci-fi movie. my great-aunt and uncle dug it out of their garage for me and i used it every morning for 2 years with no problems. :) i'll try to post a pic later today.
daisy, if you can't go in the water and you can't go in the sun....
that makes you the perfect candidate for a fragile vintage bathing suit!! so there's your silver lining! :D

thanks, mojito. i was pretty astounded by them. they're one of those items you see in vintage catalogs and think, "now why can't i ever find anything like that?!"
shearer, that purse is FANTASTIC. i see why it's your favorite! and i'm sure no one is sick of that dress.
ohhh, that sounds *fantastic* but i don't have the money right now! i remember being interested in it (i was in junior high when it aired) but don't think i ever actually watched it. i wish netflix would carry it!
hi ladies,
i just dug through my trunk and photographed some of my favorite vintage clothing items. i didn't purchase them recently, i didn't make them, but since i just uploaded all these pics i wanted to post them here. so here are a few of MY favorites. they're all wrinkled because they've...
