I bought a pair of burgundy wool culottes this spring, but won't be able to wear them until autumn. I'll have to get used to them again, because the last pair I owned at age 8 were pink and had Mickey Mouse on them :D
Yesterday I wore a royal blue 50s dress with mustard golden polka dots, a suede hat andmatching bag and seamed stockings. Almost everyone else turned up in shorts and t-shirts though. Today I was planning on wearing a Horrockses, but the weather is cold and windy, so we're staying in.
I'm not even sure how a onesie is comfortable... You'd have to get mostly undressed to go to the bathroom. The first time I saw it both me and my husband nearly fell over. He didn't believe me when I told him, until he saw it for himself.
I have seen them before, but at least they kind of look like real jeans from afar. I believe the end of fashion (in the UK at least) is adults wearing onesies. I have seen them a lot recently, from video store to rugby game to fun fair - people are wearing what is baby sleepwear out of the house.
That is your personal take on it. In many places church isn't sober whatsoever, it's about celebrating.
And you're still not getting my point. I know that people judge each other, whether it's wrong to do so or not is a matter of opinion. I am not going to repeat this again, because it's a bit...
The question isn't just about poverty though - I didn't say everyone turning up badly dressed was poor. It's about judging others for their appearance (whether due to poverty or simply bad taste). I am saying that this is misplaced in spiritual institutions and that God wouldn't care about how...
Without wanting to get into a discussion about religion, it is also about being universally accessible. I just think it clashes with the fundamental belief in humanity to exclude people due to their attire. As others have said, slack in dressing doesn't equate loose morals. Some of the best...
Disrespectful to whom though? I'm sure God would care much more what's on the inside than on the outside. I'd rather people go and actually listen and think, than just dress and be there for appearances. Nice clothing doesn't equate more respect or a stronger belief.
For me, dressing up for...
Exactly. We tend to forget that many people don't actually have formal clothing any more. Since most situations nowadays allow casual clothing, some people simply don't own a Sunday Best outfit.
Besides, although I appreciate people dressing up for formal occasions, it doesn't make one a bigger...
I loooove Trashy Diva, and that print in particular! Although they say dry clean only I always handwash TD dresses and they always come out nicely. Great dress!
I finally found the postcard dress I missed when it first came out, and won it!
I then got a matching saucer hat
Also got this shirt dress for lounging
And a sailor sweater for cooler evenings and autumn
Must have been good luck all along, because apart form the long coveted...
