That is really cute Lenore! I have been really stressed out at work and my birthday is coming up, so that combination has been terrible for my wallet, but great for my mood ;) I got a Lena Hoschek skirt and blouse in the meail today and am in love. Also ordered this skirt I also got...

Comments You Get When You Dress Vintage

I've just started a very demanding course and since I have to look professional have toned down my look and not worn red lipstick. A few people on the course have told me they love my style and that it suits me very well, one has said I look vintage, another commented on how unique I dress...

    The Vintage Fur Thread

^ I have a long fake fur one. There is a long loop on the underside of one end and you can pull one end through the loop on the other end (a bit like a scarf is tied). Maybe you could loosely sew a bit of ribbon onto one underside and feed the other end through?

    Wearing vintage at home.

I wear vintage or repro dresses and skirts at home. If it's late and I won't be going out again I change into pyjamas, usually modern. I actually find jeans incredibly uncomfortable, so wouldn't wear them, especially not at home.

    The Vintage Fur Thread

I have one with a hook and eye attached to each end of the collar, slightly underneath. When you close it the furry bits hide the hook and you just wear the collar on top of whichever clothing you wear that day. Others I believe have loops underneath and then buttons on the coat or cardigan to...

You both look fabulous! I'm adding that pattern to my wishlist. Didn't think much of it on the package, but it's so flatrering on you ladies.

Antje, love the hair! Also really love your eyebrows! Do you fill them in at all, and if so, would you mind sharing what you use? My favourite brow powder got discontinued and I am still searching for a replacement.

That priest must be even more eccentric than the old lady or also suffering from dementia. Who in their right mind would agree to a random parishioner just doing restorative work? Crazy.

I don't really understand how she managed to do this without anyone interrupting her. How was nobody there to question what she was doing?

I have to say I am so surprised by this! There are a few Fabricland shops around her and they carry mostly cheap polycotton and junk. I used to go to Fabricland in Canada and loved it, but have found the ones in the UK far inferior to the point of not even going in any more. Maybe I'll have to...

Copy a pattern or use an original?

I used Burda patterns before I ever used any other ones and I would never have traced them with a wheel. If you can find ver thin tracing paper or even clear foil tracing with a marker is no problem. Sometimes it helps to lightly tape it all to a window in broad daylight.

    Why Don Draper IS Lounge

I absolutely love Mad Men now, but also struggled through the first few episodes. There is a lot of character development and between the lines storytelling which most other shows lack I find. It gets even better once one reads the blog on Mad Men fashion by Tom & Lorenzo, and the significance...

    Why Don Draper IS Lounge

Or, Don Draper could be seen for what he really is - a well-dressed but severely damaged individual who can not truly relate to his own children, women or most other people in his life. I'd certainly leave the Lounge if that was the ideal members on here strive for. Yikes. I also reject the...
