My brother's first car was a '73 Fury, metallic blue with white vinyl top and 440 4bbl. It was a beautiful car(to me anyway). It looked just liked the one in the background in this ad.
Those grips sure are purty!
Thanks for the compliment, she's a bit rougher looking in person. I'm not trying to be a wise guy, but technically she's a S&W Model of 1950 357 magnum, more commonly referred to(but not an offical name) as a pre-27. One of these days I'm going to get off my duff...
I do plan on putting a Tyler T grip on it at some point. I've replaced the old service grips in the photo with a pair of "correct" Magnas and that made a big difference over the service grips. With the service grips, after a few rounds it felt like I was being hit in the hand with a hammer...
"PARTY HEARTY!," I've always detested this phrase. Maybe that's why I was rather averse to the whole idea of drinking when I was a teenager. I still don't drink very much or very often.
Nice 686. How's she handle with those Magna-style grips?
And since it is page 357, here's another.
Firing her with the service grips from the '20's on her wasn't as much fun as it looked.
Absolutlely. They are funny because they are dumb but trying to be serious. I'm fairly certain this movie was trying to be frightfully serious, not funny.
Veronica Corningstone: [Picks up phone] Veronica Corningstone.
Ron Burgundy: Hello. This is your doctor. I have your pregnancy results here, and guess what? You, you got knocked up, so you should probably get out of news.
Veronica Corningstone: Who is this?
Ron Burgundy: This is Doctor...
"Do you know the emergency phone number for San Francisco General? Well, why don't you call them right now and have them send down an ambulance. Tell them there's two sorry-looking a$$holes here with multiple contusions and various abrasions and broken bones." -Harry Callahan-Sudden Impact
Alright, this isn't "vintage" by lounge standards (it is almost 30 years old) but Weird Al's "Eat It" makes my list. He's hilarious immitating Michael Jackson's moves.

On sunday mornings when I was young, Soul Train would come on one of the 5 channels we could get with our rabbit ears. And if a group like The Spinners came on, I would try my best to imitate their synced moves and invariably fail. But they looked so cool I had to try myself. It was great...
"Trains & Locomotives: Indiana Railroad" on RFD. Footage was shot in the late '30's into 1941 on 8mm with some shots in color. This was an electrified system with the bulk of the footage involving interurban trolley service. Fantastic steet shots of many Indiana cities. If you get a chance...
The revolver in the bottom row looks like an H&R break top .22, and the automatic to it's left looks like a Star 9mm.
The little automatic in the middle looks like a baby Browning .25acp and the little revolver to it's right might be a Rohm 22.
I would be willing to bet the large revolver at...
