New Civilian A-2 from Aerial Star

It is a great looking jacket. I hope they will make some jackets in the future without the knit. Something like an Aero Dustbowl at a similar price as this A2 and they'd have another customer.

What's something modern you won't miss when it becomes obsolete?

I don't know if daylight savings time qualifies as modern, but I wouldn't mind getting rid of it.

    I love the Fed IV!!

Thank you ManofKent and DesertDan. I'm considering a purchase of one in gray, but that will be well into the future I'm afraid. This is my go to hat for now. I only have two other fedoras and one is a mess and the other needs sold as it's just too big. Can't wait to see that tawny fawn...

I checked out Eureka Arsenal's site and I see that the hats are wool. Were the originals wool as well?

Love the photo Renault! I'd like to get a campaign cover to wear to the range. Haven't found any in my size yet.

    Period Films and Inaccuraces

Watching Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, I noticed when Indy is at the controls of the Tri Motor that there's an ILS (instrument landing system) indicator on the panel. I thought it was out of place in a plane from 1935, and it is, but not as far off as I thought. The ILS was under...

    I love the Fed IV!!

Thanks Duper g.durand! I did think about restitching it myself but didn't consider just removing it. If it starts to bug me again, I may give it a try.

    I love the Fed IV!!

My dark brown IV arrived the day before yesterday. I measure 58.5cm so ordered a 59 as per Hatsdirect. It is big on my head with the brim resting on my ears so I used half the foam strip that was supplied and attached it to the sweat at the back. Fits fine now. I've never bashed a fedora...

1920's 3 Piece in Brown Tweed

Some of it seems like it would work for me but the waistcoat is too small as well as the shoulder measurement. I don't have any vintage suits(or modern ones) and have been looking for one I can work with not much luck. I know this not the place to ask for advice but I measure exactly 42"...

4 vintage half-belt leather jackets and an A-1

I've been looking at these and I especially like the first one but of course it's too small for me.

Vintage Things That Have Disappeared In Your Lifetime?

I bought a 1992 SL new with a 5 speed and 85hp. It was the cheapest you could get save for one option, a cassette player. It was obviously not going to win a contest for luxury or quality of materials used , but it never had a hiccup in 150,000 miles over the 11 years I owned it. Would...

What's something modern you won't miss when it becomes obsolete?

This is the best suggestion so far. I don't really hate the lawn mower, just the time spent using one feels like such a waste of time, which of course, it is.
