    I have no idea of the toe box on the last on this particular shoe, but AE prides itself on making shoes in a wide variety of widths. I wear an 9EEE and no problem getting them in nearly any model from AE.

    I'm sure that the movie stars influenced fashion then. FWIW, here is a candid shot of some real life Boston detectives in the late 20s/early 30s. These hats look pulled down pretty low. And they look like some pretty hard, no nonsense guys!

    If you have an Amazon Prime account you can watch Ken Burns: Prohibition for free. It is full of amazing video and photography from the 20s and 30s. It is a three part documentary, but the third part probably has the most hat images. Here are a few I captured.
