I've become quite a little gardener lately. I have recently started my very own little kitchen garden on my tiny balcony. I try to grow radish, spinach, cabbage and differnent types of salad and herbs in boxes. I did the same last year, not very sucsessfully I might add, but still very fun. And...
Very good point! I have never tried it with a flask, but I spent several days on a LARP walking around with a Derringer replica in my garter. I had to tighten the garter to the point where I almost cut of all the blodflow to my leg to keep the darn thing in place!
Later, I found out that...
I really must try some more of "Nøgne Ø", instead of drinking only imported. Why go over the river to fetch water, as we say in the land of "Nøgne Ø".!
Sounds really interessting! Might I ask what the topic for the paper is?
I'm a student for another job, then I will have to see what life brings. I have to work for a living! (I am really looking forward to that, but it's scary too!)
>This is truly a wonderfull find! And if that isn't true art deco I will eat my really ugly 30s hat!
I am pretty sure that table is from somewhere in the 20s-30s, most probably 30s. And its amazingly well preserved.
I want it! You are lucky that I would never be able to fit this in the...
This thread is so interresting! I knew Americans loves their BBQ, but I had no idea the tradition is that long, great and not to mention mouth-watering tempting!
I have no back yard, and that's to bad, because my local butcher has been advertising suckling kids, (is that the right english...
Thank all you so much for the congratulations! You are great.
I went to National Academy of the Arts in Bergen, and I want most of all to design museums and exhibitions!
Huh!? I really did not know that we where spoiled cognacwise. My dad has allways gone for the Armanac instead, and told me that you can find more interresting ang good tastes in the moderate price range there, than with cognac. I've allways agrees. But then, I'm more of a whiskey gal, so what do...
Great list, you've really got your priorities straight!
For hair, I think that I thingy like this really helps for long hair. It's almost an instant 30s/40s hairdo! Works well for beginners.
For back acne: Try washing with a soap for skin problems in the shower every morning. I have been using Cliniuqes soap bar for acne skin, and since I started using it regulary in the mornings, (and when I remember in the evenings), my skin has improved. I find this product a little to harsh on...
Tonight, it will be port (Sandmans "Founders Reserve") and then some whisky, probably Glenmorangie "Nectar d'or." I deserve it, I delivered my masters degree project today!
I'm really no expert on this. But I will reccomend exfoliating the skin, (which is supposed to help,) and taking some time to pamper yourself. If it doesn't help the skin, at least the placebo effect of doing something for yourself should help. And don't kill yor skin with strong medicated...
I've done that prior to LARPS, with succsess. I've also done organised thrift store shopping trips where I help picking out clothes, and the participants loved that.
That's the worst! Get the big lines right, and you've done good. Effort should allways count to, no matter what the result is!I...
In addition to the 10points list, I've found it usefull to also include a list of what I'd love to see and what I would rather not see. For example:
I/we would love to see:
-Seamed stockings.
-Gloves.
-Wawy/curly hair.
I/we would rather not see:
-Stilettoes
-Crinolines and really...
I've done this! I have written several costume compendias for LARPS, and I even made and P.G.Woodehouse-inspired LARP where I struggled with the same as you do now.
My first tip: Remember that you will never get a "correct" decade. Not even if all of the participants were experts on 30s...
I'm not gonna think in whole centuries here, but these are things from the last 60 years I wouldn't like to go without. Or in other words, things that I would hate not having if I fell in a wormhole and was transported back to The Golden Age:
-Womens liberation.
-Equal right to eduction...
