I love the Fed IV!!
If you like it then leave it alone! The wonderful thing about the Fed is that it's easy to change the shape any time you want. I have one in moonstone and it's definitely my go to hat. So wear it the way you like it. Nice bash by the way. :eusa_clap -

I'm liking that 1 and 1/8" ribbon myself. When you're talking about a brim almost 3" wide, the thin ribbon makes it look even wider to me. So here's to being bold and +1 on the wider ribbon. :eusa_clap:eusa_clap -

Softening an Akubra Federation IV
My Fed IV softened up easily. I got it in the basic shape I wanted, wore it outside and it was promptly blown off my head by a rainstorm and landed in a puddle of water. Situation solved. LOL! -

This is the hat I've been waiting for. Right now I guiess it's in the prototype stages. Prototype Stetson Excellent Quality Premiere Whippet. Can't wait to buy in on this one. The Stetsonian and Stratoliner are nice hats, but the Whippets proportions just seem right. -
