...too, though you might find a darker shade more practically for very regular wear.
Another Akubra you might consider is the thing ribbon Campdraft - available currently it appears in a sand (light tan) or bluegrass green -...
Akubra Campdraft for grocery shopping.
Then I brought out one of my big guns for a visit to our favourite Thai place…The Stetson Custom V.
Etsuko was in an Akubra Leisure Time.
The food was great!
...one Akubra Territory (Santone Fawn), and in storage from a decade ago, one Akubra Federation IV (Moonstone, unavailable in Imperial now), one Akubra Campdraft (Bluegrass Green), and one Akubra Stylemaster (Acorn Fawn). And one Stetson Stetsonian (Pecan). All size 62 for Akubra, 61 for Stetson.
...my 5th graders and some visiting Korean students. I’ve been putting a lot of time and effort into the preparation. It was a big success, so celebrating with a fancy Lithuanian beer that I enjoy a lot. I might treat myself to some whisky soon, too. I wore an Akubra Campdraft for the occasion.

- Is there a suggested first hat for a guy that wears button down L/S shirts and leather jackets?
Vintage OR is an easy enough get. Campdraft if you're impatient. I prefer vintage hats generally, and vintage Silverbelly dyes specifically over the modern Campdraft. But as far as bang for...
I remember back in 2017 or 18 some Loungers getting together to do a special order Akubra. Can't remember the specifics though. I'm afraid for me a Bluegrass Green FED would be more of a curiosity than a hat I'd actually wear - I very much favor traditional colors in my hats.
I'd also prefer...
...was). I dropped out when it was confirmed that they all had to be the one colour and Silverbelly was specified, as it was too close to my Campdraft for me to be able to justify the outlay. Not sure what happened after that whether it went ahead, but the idea certainly seems viable. If they're...
...I think a brim can look good up if it's shaped to be worn that way - something like an Open Road. I steamed the brim down on my Akubra Campdraft, but it looked good in its natural 'up' position as it came. My straw stratoliners I can comfortably wear up or down, according to whim and...
...to see the difference in what companies consider Silverbelly. My Stetson Open Road 6x is a true silverbelly color, while my Akubra Campdraft is more of a tan color, not quite fawn. I know each hat is different, even within the same company. I'm happy for the differences, it would be hard to...
Makes me think I really should buy another hat from DM... My ex wife took me there and told me to pick out a hat for my birthday.. Picked up my Sage Lawson.... great hat. Maybe its time for a Campdraft? lol
Yesterday I made a trip over to Buckaroo Hatters. A gentleman came in the shop and I noticed he was wearing a Campdraft.
( you know how us hat guys are … we notice things )
After he looked around for a bit then went up and placed his order, I later found out it was his 2nd Buckaroo hat. We he...
...else. In fawn, I prefer the warmer, gold hue of the standard's tawny fawn; the DLX Heritage Fawn is just a notch too close to my DLX Campdraft to really be worth it. Though if they did the latter with a scarlet ribbon and brim binding..... colour me interested!
It's such an accessible...
I have a few comments here. First, if you are interested in the FED IV, then I would get one now. The Hattery in Katoomba, Australia is the only place to get a new one and they are in the middle of some mysterious shake-up of that line. I just had a look and they have only size 56 in Tawny Fawn...
