We had a big event at school today. An international exchange between my 5th graders and some visiting Korean students. I’ve been putting a lot of time and effort into the preparation. It was a big success, so celebrating with a fancy Lithuanian beer that I enjoy a lot. I might treat myself to some whisky soon, too. I wore an Akubra Campdraft for the occasion.

New to the market. Distilled to 115 proof, then aged 6 yrs.

“My great-great uncle was legendary Texas cattleman Charles Goodnight, who drove herds of longhorn thousands of miles over the now-famous Goodnight-Loving Trail. His adventurous life inspired books, movies, and this bold, high-rye Texas bourbon. At a barrel strength of 115 proof, our intense whiskey delivers toasted caramel aromas, nutty flavors, and a peppery bite that lingers long past sunset.” — WILLIAM P. “BILL” FOLEY

I'll need to keep my eyes open for this. I like a nice spicy rye heavy bourbon!

Humm... another interesting Texas Whisky. Might be worth a test run out on my patio... Did it a while back with TXWhsky.

Looking locally thru apps all I find is Small Batch 100 proof. I prefer the 115 & different bottle for my collection.

Perfect complete afternoon here... 60 degrees and sunny with a nice breeze in the back yard. Pulled on the old Moose River for an Olympic level tennis ball session with Mr Moose ( one of the few hats Im not worried about getting slobber spots on lol) . Sipping on a Mango, Cherry, Bourbon concoction, and testing out a new cigar ( Oliva Serie V Double Robusto Maduro) Im more of a pipe guy but I DO enjoy a decent cigar... ( especially a decent modestly priced one) Its easier to throw a big tennis ball with a cigar in the hand vs a pipe in the teeth.

Oh and I have a batch of Sourdough bread rising and soon to bake... Guess Im a renaissance man Lol.
