    Akubra Overload

Spot on, gents. It indeed turned out to be a squatter. I was looking on FB marketplace for hats near an area I am travelling to for a wedding. Seller took a few days to respond, hence why I asked here. It’s an unlined squatter in their superfine finish and in my size for around 75 bucks. Tempting…

    Akubra Overload

Ladies and gents, I am looking for an Akubra to wear in humid moderately hot summers in the Northwest. Eyeing out the Capricorn and the Balmoral. One the one hand, I prefer the Capricorn's looks as it's similar to a Stylemaster, the narrower brim doesn't dwarf my smaller face. On the other hand...

I do feel it when I put it on, then my skin gets used to it. It's not painful or anything, but it does leave a few red marks on my forehead, specially that wrinkle at the front. Good to see you, Brent! :)

Is there a way to help make a sweatband less wrinkled? I tried a leather conditioner so far.

That crease at the front digs a little into my forehead and leaves a little red mark. It's not uncomfortable, but noticeable when first wearing the hat. I suppose I will wear it for a few more days and hope it unshrivels a bit.

Hey folks, didn’t want to open a new thread unnecessarily. Is the sweatband salvageable on this hat? I got it pretty cheap so I can’t complain…yet. So far, I have tried massaging some bick 4 into it. I have read about folks shrinking their sweatbands with water and a hair dryer, may consider...

My head size is about 2mm above 57cm, and when I ordered a stylemaster from hatsdirect, they were incredibly helpful and sent me a 58cm on the smaller side with some sizing strips. 1 sizing strip in and it fits very well! When I ordered another colour stylemaster from hats.by.the.100, I gave...

I’d say they are fairly comparable. Maybe the stylemaster is a tiny bit more tapered, but that could also be due to the deeper bash.

Just a quick and dirty colour comparison between Stetson's caribou(L) and Akubra's moonstone(R).
