Oh yes, I can see fawn now in the beach picture. In snow however, looks grey/greenish! Very nice colour!

If you like the dimensions of the Stylemaster, check out the Akubra Capricorn. It's got similar dimensions for a summer hat. It's fairly versatile and can be worn casually or dressed up.

I’d say they are fairly comparable. Maybe the stylemaster is a tiny bit more tapered, but that could also be due to the deeper bash.

Went to USA (Florida), planned to get me a new Stetson. Ended up with a Snowy River...
Came home to Sweden and is even more satisfied.

A tad bit too big but two sizing tapes fixed everything.

Ladies and gents, I am looking for an Akubra to wear in humid moderately hot summers in the Northwest. Eyeing out the Capricorn and the Balmoral. One the one hand, I prefer the Capricorn's looks as it's similar to a Stylemaster, the narrower brim doesn't dwarf my smaller face. On the other hand, the longer brim on the Balmoral would probably be better for shade.

Would you have any insights/experiences to sway me one way or another? Thanks.

Only you can really answer this as far as what has priority: shade or the smaller size you think looks better.

Have you looked at the Akubra Country Club? It’s my favorite summer Akubra.

I can't read it in your pic, but its model name appears to be embossed on the front of the sweatband like most Akubras.

The dimensions look like a Squatter...

I believe you are correct. Like I've seen in other photos of the Squatter's sweatband, it appears to say "Squatter", and below that "Featherweight".
