Burnt fingers & Hot Sticks
If your hair takes a curl easy, don't let the sticks get too hot to start with. I usually plug mine in when I start to put on my make-up. (I rarely let the sticks heat hot enough for the "ready dot" to come on.) Also, the hot part on the stick is right in the middle, so try to avoid holding it...- BonnieJean

Sears Fashion Book...A Must Have
I have the 1930s era book and love it also. Just remember that the Sears catalog back then had fashions that were a wee bit behind the current fashion scene. Nothing but Seamed Stockings
Well, I'm going to somewhat agree and disagree. True, the stretchy stockings that are sold at Wal-Mart will move around, but like the other gals have said, the FF seamed ones usually will not. Thanks, LD, for the picture. I guess they really are where they should be on my legs after looking at the pictures. Mine even have a cotton top and foot. They look very similar to the ones on the far left, except the ribbing is horizontal rather than vertical. Very interesting ad.- BonnieJean

Thanks, Kitty, for the clarification of terms. The "welt" is 6 inches tall, but it doesn't start until just above my knee and then it goes about mid-thigh on me. I think its because I'm just not used to seeing the welt that low that made me wonder if it was too short. But then, these are vintage...- BonnieJean

low heel heights in shoes
comfortable vintage-styled shoes I have all three colors of these and they are extremely comfortable. (I think they're having a 40% sale--click on the homepage to see it.)
