Yes, I thought your hat turned out very well. IMHO, you made the right choice with thinner brim binding: I think it better compliments the thin ribbon you chose for the crown.
Thanks for all the comments. I've decided to go with the champagne, mainly because I have (or I am on the verge of acquiring) several light colored hats with contrasting ribbons. Per Michael's suggestion, I'm also going with a 3/4" champagne ribbon for the brim binding, a la the Stetson...
