    Old Aero Leather Co. Label

I'm getting interested in Aero label...did the current Transatlantic company copy the old Aero Leather NY labels? I noticed that Aero leather Scotland does have many labels available today, but this one is the most famous.

    Schott Perfecto questions

Hello, I usually from an ebay seller called "still made in the usa". I got from him the PER2 and the 641XX, he's located in NJ and he personally goes to the factory and pick up jackets. For the lenght, I think that 24" is the perfect length for the perfecto, one of the few reason I don't like...

What should I buy: New custom Kelso A2 or Like New Aero/ELC A2?

I disagree! Having read something about the production of that movie I can say the pic represents well his state of mind during that adventure.

    Bill Kelso A2 Jacket

Actually, they are, due to the strikes they have problem receiving the shipments from their suppliers . And the situation there is not fun at all, you can go and have a look by yourself, or just read on the net some article regarding the rate of suicides over there in the last months.

    Bill Kelso A2 Jacket

I'm a great fan of John Belushi and that's the reason because I asked Andy to make my Goodwear A-2 with the old "Bill Kelso" label.

    Bill Kelso A2 Jacket

\ My understanding is that the original Bill Kelso model was a sort of "fictional" WWII military contract they created mixing different particulars from various historical contracts (actually the Kelso looks to me like a more styled version of Roughwears) but it was meant to be a true WWII...

Help me find my first A2?

I suppose so, it's 350 euros +50 shipping, but at the moment AFAIK Kelso just has goatskin and perhaps the jacket could come for a little less... The other options are the Aero sale page and the Eastman rei-issue depot, but you've to be lucky to find the right jacket at the right time.

    Bill Kelso A2 Jacket

I'm waiting for an A-2 and a M-422. Unfortunately at the moment Kelso has problems procuring horsehide but they have goatskin, so I changed the order to get a goat A-2. Hopefully the jackets will be ready soon. I know that BK had great plans and wanted to add many jackets to their line (the...

    How warm is a B-3?

I've a redskin D-1 from Aero and I would recommend that jacket, especially if you want a snug and fit jacket. The only problem that I have is that it's very warm and I use it just for few days per year.

What did you do in the war Daddy...?

That picture had a symbolic and shouldn't be taken as "fact", it was clearly posed like the one of the Marines on Iwo Jima.

Can anyone explain/describe the softness of Schott jackets?

I've two Schotts, a 641xx of heavy steerhide and the PER2 in hh...and they aren't "soft", the PER2 is broken in by the vintage treatment, but the xx still needs to be worn, it's not as hard as Aero heavy hh but close.

    Mad Max Sequels

Yes they are. And they were meant to be disturbing: basically they're about the meltdown of our civilisation, they show that underneath the surface men are violent and without remorse.

    Interesting WW2 article

I find it hilarious that some people here think that jailing a 91 years old man is "justice"...it's not: these people committed their crimes in their 20s or 30s and they lived almost all their lives as free men. Let's face it: they got away, even if they spend their last months or years behind...

    Schott PER2 arrived...

Ed, I'm sorry but you're wrong! :P Brando's jacket in that movie was a 613 with added snaps on the collar BUT not on the jacket, a 618 would have had four snaps on the body...
