Points well taken. When I think of Kirk, it is the Kirk of the original series, not the big screen or later cameos. Although I do not have the series to freshen my recollection, I recall that the bookish Kirk of Starfleet Academy was more often described or referenced rather than portrayed...- Leading Edge
