From the U.S. side, I agree with what had been said here, Northern California and the Pacific Northwest - if you live reasonably near the water, the Pacific keeps the temperature in leather jacket range just about year round.
There's a patina there it's just covered with all the dirt : ). I do think that piece could use a good cleaning. If you buy a natural leather jacket, I feel like you need to embrace some level of dirt getting on/into the leather.
So, it depends what the "stain" consists of. Maybe a picture will allow a more accurate response. But if it is natural leather, it will accumulate marks, and dirt more readily than a dyed jacket. Overall it will darken as it ages and is exposed to UV rays, oils from your skin, etc. I look at...
This is the semi-aniline finish. I'm not super knowledgeable in the tanning processes though. I was under the impression that pigmented jackets like this needed to be semi-aniline. Do you know which TFH jackets are full-aniline? I'd like to see the difference.
