A variety of red wines. One of my best friends is a wine buyer for a market. So at certain times he will have 6+ partial bottles that the sales reps have given him to taste and decide whether he wants to carry them in the shop. Decision making is tricky business. Naturally I invite myself over...
No, it's rather unjust, as things do exist sans photography -- but no matter, I'll still take pics. I may wait for Joanna to iron it. (She says hello to you [Anon`] by the way.)
Thanks, Hutch. Well, I just now paid a visit to my normal tailor who does alterations for me in Berkeley and I was wearing the suit. She thought it was well-made and agreed the lapels were somewhat bizarre: she suggested ironing them differently. But that would mean you couldn't see the vest...
Suit Rec'd
OK, I just received the suit yesterday. I am wearing it as I type. Hmmm. It's not exactly as I had imagined it would be. I need to keep wearing it today and see if I get used to the lapels, which are rather unusual. Very fat (5 inches wide) and sort of short. I thought it was going...
Very nice, Platten. Nice wide legs. I like the single-button peak lapel SB look a lot. The patch pockets look great too. The only thing I might consider is taking in the waist a bit to get more of an hourglass shape.
I have not heard it either, but good to see you again, Dixon.
But I have noticed over the past several years that films have become all too happy to show people vomiting to illustrate how horrified the person is by something. There is NO REASON to show the actual vomiting. Not much reason to...
I do like a mocktail now and again, and during a 5 month nondrinking stint (which I broke with MK, Brooksie, and some other Fedora Loungers in early 2007!) I was drinking quite a few mocktails. I don't know where to get brandy flavored food essence, though.
My favorite mocktail by far was...
Don't worry about feeling out of place, strange, or insecure. Especially if you ar e in the early stages of collecting. You'll notice a "Dumbest thing I ever heard" thread here: keep in mind that even those of us who have been sporting this sort of look for a while still hear an annoying thing...
Very nice. IMHO the spectacles and bowtie in your avatar make you look more like Atticus Finch, whereas the article photo makes you look more like a (younger) Sting.
I have seen this general trend. At least the SF white girls started shaving their armpits again in about 2000. That trend from ca. 1995 - 1999 was horrid.
I should photograph the rest of my house, because it's almost all street finds. The 1940s desk I'm typing on, for example. Our adjustable mid-century fainting couch (the only concession to mid-century style we have). The list goes on.
folks, I'm having a VERRA difficult time finding the reasonably-priced dress boots out here in the USA, such as the Grenson's wingtip OR captoe dress boot. Their site is down. Any leads?
