SweetieStar,
I have used Brasso on Bakelite with great results. It provides a great gloss. I'm not sure about the other product you mentioned so I can't comment.

Liking the heck out of this thread
Couple from FS9:
Apols for the jaggies. Just upgraded to a newer box and haven't got the hang of the nvidia settings. Let me dig out some FSX screen shots.
That cartoon, and "The Three Little Bops" would have to rate as my all time favourites. Stan Freberg and Shorty Rogers together, wow!
"Suzy the Blue Coupe" is a great watch as well.
ZF - thanks for a fantastic thread. A truly beautifull plane that is often put in the shadow of the L1049.

Not to mention the flat tire at the funeral ceremony!
Many Tati lovers here. I'd love to get my hands on the original French release. Some 30 min was cut from it for release outside France:mad: .
You don't have a copy showing a scene where he has difficulty with a deck chair do you?
First time I did this my wife looked at me very strangely until I explained myself!
Worth also checking out the glassware and miscellany. Last week I picked up a set of 6 cut crystal drinking tumblers (think single malt advertisement) for 0.99 each.
Very pleased, they make all the...
I'm sure some Austinites will chime in...

Beautiful item!
That strap looks fabulous with that crisp dial :eusa_clap
I have seen some instances where 18mm straps have been used on 16mm lugs to give the watch a heavier appearance. The straps were notched 1mm on each side.
Could be effective depending on the...
Franken watch or fixer upper
I have a milestone birthday coming up and my ever loving has decided to buy me a nice timepiece to add to my vintage collection.
I'm leaning towards an early Omega Constellation, Seamaster or Universal Polerouter/Polarouter

Funny, my watch guy is a bit the same. I asked him if he'd mind if I referred other people to him. He said no, he had all the work he needed. Tight knit community. Try finding a god redial service[huh]
Shangas, thanks for the info. Good watch guys are hard to find.
I remember stumbling across a solid gold Unicorn watch at an opp shop in Blackburn back in the late 80's.
I took it to the local jeweler, and he nearly had a heart attack. He had worked on it in 1966!
