Searching for someone to reblock my hat.
That turned out great. I recently bought an old Stetson OR cheap that has a lot of sweat stains but the felt is still in good shape. I'm experimenting with it right now to see if I can clean it up and reshape it. If it doesn't work out then it is no big deal. I think it is fun too. -

Ed, You are definitely right about just the mention of "Stratoliner" can really raise the price. The moth holes are what bothered me. On old hats I don't mind anything else like rub marks, stains, worn sweatband but any moth holes are just deal killers for me. Mike -

Soaking it in water is a good suggestion. Normally I use distilled water but the other day I had an old Open Road with a lot of sweat stains so I wasn't worried about damaging it. I ran warm water from the tub spigot over the entire hat and got it soaking wet. I then reshaped it and wore it... -

How tall was the crown to begin with when it was open crown? I usually need at least a 5 1/2" open crown to get a crease I like. I also prefer to use distilled water instead of steam to crease a felt hat. I get the felt wet with the water, crease it and then usually let it dry on my head. For... -
