Do overseas buyers need to pay extra on top of the advertised price for postage? If not, presumably that cost can be deducted from the differential. I can't imagine 3kg or more to the US can be cheap.
Possibly the Aero business model uses this "windfall" and allows it to contribute to the...
You might want to think about the 2 inch leather strip at the bottom. Apart from costing another £50, it'll stiffen the hem a lot. I got a corduroy strip instead, which costs nothing and doesn't add to the stiffness.
Your specs above are similar to my 40" Highwayman, except I got it a bit...
Gambetto, I did get it measured up at the factory, but I think the only alteration to the standard 40 was the length and the sleeve length. I have the side fasteners pulled in to pretty much maximum. One thing I noticed was that the back is cut wider than the front, so it gives it a wider V...
I think Teamster is just Aero's own name for the style, although I'm no expert.
Sir J, it's a 40 and I'm 5'11". I asked for a 29" back and it came at 28.5", so no complaints there.
Thanks for the kind words guys. I like it a lot more than I thought I would. So much so that I'm about to pull the trigger on another button jacket and I'm in two minds as to whether I go for another Teamster but in cordovan, or more likely a Stockman for the longer length, again in cordovan...
When I was at the Aero factory a few weeks ago I saw the Cherry Stockman. At first I thought it cordovan, so it definitely wasn't offensively bright or noticeably pinkish. On closer inspection, the colour seemed more even than cordovan, which has the darker purpley contrast to it. It would be...
I think I prefer the Teamster because the buttons break up the aesthetics of the front more and it's probably a more casual looking jacket. The only downside is that there's no fastening to the front pockets, but I got zipped and poppered pockets inside to help solve that. Also, the LHB has a...
Windward, what cordovan shoes do you have? I've just bought Grenson Sid in burgundy to go with my two cordovan jackets and the colour couldn't have been a better match.
Equality, it was good to see your pics, as they were the best Teamster ones I've seen. Thanks to your pics, I'm almost tempted to make a late change from my Vintage Black FQHH to your seal goat. Now you mention it, your jacket does have a Stuart vibe to it, because of the length. I definitely...
I went with the tartan lining as I want to be able to use a thin layer under it when it gets colder and have a bit more flexibility. The hardest part was wading through the 300 patterns, but I ended up with this.
Thanks Grayland. Nice pic - is that brown FQHH? I'd be happy anywhere between your length and the linked one. I didn't know what the standard size was as I got measured by Will at Aero and said I wanted it to go to the bottom of the Levi curve stitching of my jeans. I think that came at...
I've had an LHB and Teamster on order since early February and am sure that manufacture must be imminent. I deliberately went for a probably longer than usual length, basically covering my butt, similar to this LHB length here.
Then I saw the recent Teamster thread which has a very much...
So the jacket is rattled off in a day, start to finish? No waiting to go from one part of the factory to another? I kind of thought it might go round the houses before going out the door. That's good then.
Talking of the jacket being made, does anyone know how long it takes once you get to the top of the list?
I have two on order, but because I ordered from the factory itself they didn't take my card details and said they'd just contact me later, presumably when they start making them.
