HA! lol
I like Duboniger- maybe that's what I should name the style... Although "private purchase A-2" is probably more marketable.
Imho the Dubows had the best collars, but there was so much variation it's kind of a moot point. I think they can really only be classified as "roundish"...
I prefer the higher Navy style pockets- I had thought the USN A-1's had a varsity style collar, but I see in the Akron pic one of the men has an AAC style knit collar. I'm more authentic than I thought:)

This is a '40's gaberdine halfbelt, size 46! (as in it fits me). Interesting design with no side panels and uniquie cuffs. Between this and a repop M-1941 filed jacket I should be able to come up with a decent halfbelt pattern:

ANJ-3A repro goatskin flight jacket from Sporty's Pilot Shop. It is essentially a G-1 without the mouton collar. Great condition except for some wear on the inside of one of the cuffs. Bi-weave knits, YKK zipper with "paper clip" pull, inside windflap and pocket. It has "hand...
Interesting- I didn't know they were still around. I rember mine as being more exspensive too. If the quality is still as good that's a smokin deal for a 3/4 length jacket though.
