Akubra Campdraft
Everything Australian is usually quite a bit cheaper too than Hatsdirect but normally you have to wait 3 months unless they have the hat in stock. Hatsdirect keeps most all their hats in stock. I think you are going to really like the CD. The Bluegrass Green is a great color too. -

jskeen, I believe that Stetson looks like it would have been before the diamond liner. Robert, nice looking Stetson. Definitely a keeper in my opinion. -

I received the hat yesterday and it is very nice. It has a tall (6") straight sided crown, 2.5" bound brim and a 1 3/4" ribbon. The felt is very nice and reminds me of Akubra's Heritage grade felt. It can easily be dry bashed. The hat also has a soft and wide (2") leather sweatband. I'm very... -

I prefer strips of felt rather than the sizing tape. You can buy it at any craft supply store. -

Bandit, the liner is held in by a few drops of glue. Just pull it loose and set it aside. You can easily put it back in and the sweatband will hold it in place. I buy plain satin liners from Hatsupply.com to replace the Akubra liner with the plastic insert. They are much cooler and prevent any... -

Robert, That's a cool picture of Monroe's band but this is the crease I was referring to. It is a Centerfire crease. John Wayne wore a hat with a similar crease in True Grit. -

Robert, The new Campdraft looks great! Now that you have both grades, what is your opinion of the Heritage? PS: The dry bash of the Centerfire crease looks pretty cool. I like the final crease best though. Good job! -

nimichave, Welcome to the lounge. The hat Downey is wearing looks like a Milan straw with a pugaree as Sam stated. I have no idea about the brand but the crown looks like it might have been in a teardrop crease at one time and somebody tried to make it into a porkpie.
