I think that's the point, you don't need to actually see stuff for it to have an affect. As a matter of fact, quoting Lemmy "The chase is better than the catch!" In the hands of artists, not seeing can be much more powerful than seeing.
I think they were a lot more imaginative as far as what was shocking back then. Today's version of "profanity" is similar to how a modern "horror" movie tries to shock a person with an overload of gore and loud noises.
who's making them? In speaking with HatPeople a few months ago, they are too busy to attempt new patterns [huh]
Excellent photos! I'd love to see modern buckled flat caps! My favorite caps that most vintage-inspired are the J Peterman/Jonthan Richard "handsome thug" caps.
But would this something say the likes of Fletcher Henderson popularized? Would it have come out of a certain geographic location?
For instance, the Exploited were the first band to really have mohawks, before that punk haircuts were more johnny rotten-looking. The Exploited kicked off...
I've been following your posts since you started here, I love your work! I'd be very interested to see your range of options available in golden era styled shoes! :)

I believe they were made by the company behind Buzz Rickson, etc. I just picked em up off of ebay, I have never seen them before though so I'm not sure what season they're from [huh]
I just have reproduction stuff, some of my friends here in NYC have a bunch of great original stuff but aren't on here. I think you could include back belted/action backed leather jackets in the vintage work wear category, would you agree?
I have a problem chasing, acquiring and then wearing...
Although he hasn't written back to me in the last few weeks, he has always been available and easy to speak with about sizing and stuff in the past through his email address: order@e-workers.net
I'm still kicking myself for letting one of those club collared, polkadot work shirts slip through...
You bet! Available for order as of yesterday! I have never ordered from him before, but he accepts paypal/US orders. I'm a big fan of his schtuff! Killer-Goriller indeed!
