    Pre-Code Hollywood New Releases.

A Short Time for Insanity? I'm halfway through, it's all over the place as he wrote it while on tons of painkillers but really well worth the read!

    Pre-Code Hollywood New Releases.

I think that's the point, you don't need to actually see stuff for it to have an affect. As a matter of fact, quoting Lemmy "The chase is better than the catch!" In the hands of artists, not seeing can be much more powerful than seeing.

    Pre-Code Hollywood New Releases.

I think they were a lot more imaginative as far as what was shocking back then. Today's version of "profanity" is similar to how a modern "horror" movie tries to shock a person with an overload of gore and loud noises.

Wanna 1920s/'30s-style Newsboy Cap? Have One Made!

who's making them? In speaking with HatPeople a few months ago, they are too busy to attempt new patterns [huh] Excellent photos! I'd love to see modern buckled flat caps! My favorite caps that most vintage-inspired are the J Peterman/Jonthan Richard "handsome thug" caps.

early 20's jazz suits: more info on specific culture...

But would this something say the likes of Fletcher Henderson popularized? Would it have come out of a certain geographic location? For instance, the Exploited were the first band to really have mohawks, before that punk haircuts were more johnny rotten-looking. The Exploited kicked off...

    Film Noir?

I always felt that whether this was on purpose or not, film noir showed the underbelly of society that stayed out of fighting in WW2. When all the heroes are off fighting the good fight overseas, the home front is a country of criminals. Just one way of looking at it :)

    Film Noir?

There are lots of must see Film Noirs. None of them were considered classics at the time as they were basically 40's b-movies. It wasn't until the French discovered them after WW2 and declared it a movement, did they get much spotlight. Double Indemnity is probably the most popular. Detour...

    Black Suit

Actually I think these days black is mighty hip. Which puts a person at a crossroads. Do you wear brown to stick it to the man and rebel against the status quo sheep or do you consciously make an effort to remain unchanged by outside forces. Hard to say. Either answer works in my opinion.

    Reproduction classic workwear

I just have reproduction stuff, some of my friends here in NYC have a bunch of great original stuff but aren't on here. I think you could include back belted/action backed leather jackets in the vintage work wear category, would you agree? I have a problem chasing, acquiring and then wearing...
