Hi
On an old militaria board, someone bought a Mae West Vest (inflatable emergency vest) for $9600 roughly. The bidding went 60, 65, 68, 70, 71, 76, 78, 80, 85, 8600, 8700, 8900, 9000, 9001, ... 9600. I wish I knew is Ebay let them slide on that one. $96.99 was supposed to be a good price...
Hi
While the video takes on the Chinese "fur industry" I doubt that the cruelty towards animals is limited to that industry. I've never worked in the industry, but I've cleaned fish etc. When you kill 5-10 animals a year, you take the time to do it right. When you kill 100 animals an hour...
Hi James
One of the less expensive cigar brands uses shorter filler, so if you get the Churchills it practically unwinds on your tongue. If you cut the torpedo a little closer to the tip, it doesn't unwind.

Hi
I bought some George Dickel Rye Whiskey last week. It's pretty good. $22.99 a liter. It has some rye flavor and is pretty smooth. I'd buy it again.

Hi
Last night a Papagayo XXL - 6 x 60 from San Cristobal. They're a little mild, but the 60 ring is a DAMN fat cigar. Serious "I'm a big deal Banker" sized Cigar.

Hi
Our gun club was robbed a couple of years ago. They stole a priceless (to us) / worthless (to them) 1980's era timing controller for the turning targets. They broke open the old refrigerator. We didn't know the combination to the lock, so it just hung there anyway. They also started to...
Hi
The timing would be right for that to be an Andrew's hat, but the description "black, high crowned, stiff-brimmed hat" makes it sound more like an old Hardee hat. The Andrew's hat folded so at least part of the brim would have to be soft(er).
Just my $0.02 and worth every cent.
Hi
I had to type up the quote: Page 141 of Al Sieber's biography:
"By that time they were quite a sight, Corbusier admitted, especially the Indians. "Black, stiff-brimmed hats had been issued and ordered worn," he recalled. "They no longer protected the heads of the wearers. The brims were...
Hi
I'm sipping a little George Dickel Rye Whiskey. It was $22.99 at the Wine Cellar in Exciting Norman Oklahoma. It's not as good as Sazarec, but it has some flavor. It does taste a little like Rye.

While I was at University of Illinois, I (effectively) had Ricardo Montalban for a semi-conductor class. He always drove up in one of those, and never looked like he'd been home yet. Shirt with large collars, unbuttoned at least 3 buttons, Sansabelt slacks, and those little black zip up boots...
Nope, if you're gonna drink all day, you gotta start when you get up. Ya already blew it.
Of course, I don't recommend drinking all day except at family reunions.

Hi
PERSONALLY, I'd be more inclined to leave the old Stetson pristine than the Stratton if you wore it longer. I'd also be hesitant to mess much with the Stratton. I picked up an overstock Stratton from Levine's in StL for $25.00 about three years ago. I didn't like the fit, so I gave it...
Hi
A guy from the Seattle area that I used to work with has 16 or 17 kids. I haven't see his matrix for about a year. Remembering the names and birthdays must be rough. He's about 55 now.

Hi
My dad was a USAAC and USAAF Master Sergeant during WW2 in the South Pacific. His favorite uniform back then was khaki shorts (cuttoffs), a while USMC T-shirt (because the Army ones were brown) and a pressed cardboard pith helmet (again USMC because couldn't get an issue USAAF one, but...
Hi
Some of the boys in Scouting act like they're wrapped a little too right if you only know them from Scouts. I helped our (then) 15 year olds work up skits for Toten Chip axe yard / knife safety. I bought a plastic axe and a couple of the knives where the blade is on a spring and when you...
Once, on a canoe trip in Indiana, I had Trix and Stoh's for breakfast because that's just what we had left, a box of Trix, and a case of Stroh's beer and it was time for breakfast.
It's things like this that make me glad I'm not in college anymore.

Hi James
If it''s like Kentucky, the bootleggers, Baptists, and club (Eagles Clubs, American Legion, Elks etc) don't want it wet. You can's legally sell booze, but you can sell it illegally (bootlegger), believe that no one has it (Baptists), or give away to your membership (clubs).
Weirdly...
HI John
Sorry to here of your loss. I think it's time to go Dachshund shopping though. We lost our 10 plus year old toy poodle last Xmas and it's painful.
