I'm sure he wore it in other parts of the movie. I'll have to watch it again.
Jerekson - I'm interested in the cap too so keep us posted on how you go finding one.
Hopefully the fact they have now "discovered" the Lounge might help in the Akubra ideas department. :offtopic: There's a great Job! R&D Manager Akubra. You'd have to take the new stock out all the time - you know to try it out for scientific purposes! lol
It would be like Dracula in charge of...

Dear Godfrey
Thanks for your email regarding Akubra and the movie AUSTRALIA. Indeed there has been significant interest in the movie and...
Probably would be better for a more vintage feel. I actually asked that they make sure I didn't show any shirt - a guy at my work has a waistcoat cut way too high and suffers from a little corporate muffin top.
Sorry for the long delay in geting back to you!
I'll get some more photos. Buttons on the suit for braces are inside the pants. So it will take both braces and belt. Trousers are pretty high - up near the belly button :)
I got the armholes done alot higher than "normal" it definetly better...

I really think they should release a line of hats based on the movie. I've shot them an email suggesting it.
Mine's a Smiths Empire. Great open face pocket watch. Bought it on Ebay from the UK. Doesn't miss a beat. Great deco feel.

Not sure if this has been posted before - if so please ignore. Just came across the following. Looks like Akubra is expanding the range:

I tend to do the following:
- gentle smile and twinkle in eye -
- look the poorly dressed specimen up and down -
exclaim - "I prefer to dress as a man rather than a boy"
- smile indulgently -
Not sure? I'm about to head in this weekend to pick up a suit so I'll ask. I'll take a photo from Zootsuitstore.com and see what they say. Have you tried Antons? Highly recommended!
 I know - I have a problem. Perhaps I should go cold turkey from the lounge. Not get a hair cut. Loose the suit and tie. Loose the fedora and buy a baseball cap. Wear it sideways. Loose the job. You know - become a good deadbeat! .... Nah! :p
I've found this thread to keep me happy.
