Dogman, that is a very cool box. I have never seen one like that. Maybe that is a special box they only used for clear beaver like the suitcase they used for Stetson 100's. Your hat looks like an early 1950's to me. I also noticed the name "Texas Joe" and that the hat came from Fort Worth... -

Joao, very nice looking hat. It has definitely been through a renovation. The "RENSH" marking on the back of the sweatband indicates a renovation by Shudde Brothers. They were well known for doing very good renovation work. It is hard to say exactly what the hat was before being renovated... -

The brim width on this hat is 2 1/2" and the crown height when open crown is just a tad under 5 1/2". The color is Burnt Oak which I would describe as a rusty brown color. Richard, where do you see Superfine on the website? My Squatter from HatsDirect was an Imperial felt and came open crown. It appears that the Squatters from EverythingAustralian come with a Pork Pie crease too. Is that correct? -
